Director, Enterprise Quality Programs (Aerospace and Defense)

What you will do

• Develop and execute the enterprise quality vision, strategy, roadmap, and operating model.
• Lead the design, implementation, governance, and continual improvement of the corporate Quality Management System.
• Advise executive leadership on quality performance, compliance risks, process maturity, and organizational effectiveness.
• Lead certification audits, customer assessments, regulatory reviews, and corrective and preventive action programs.
• Establish quality metrics, dashboards, and performance indicators to drive data-informed improvement.
• Lead quality professionals and matrixed teams through coaching, succession planning, and capability development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, business administration, industrial management, operations management, or a related field.
• 12–15+ years of progressive experience in quality management, compliance, operational excellence, process improvement, or related disciplines.
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing quality programs, teams, and enterprise initiatives within complex, multi-site organizations.
• Experience supporting government, defense, aerospace, engineering, technology, or mission-focused organizations.
• Deep expertise in ISO 9001, AS9100, CMMI, quality auditing, root cause analysis, corrective action management, risk management, and process governance.
• Strategic thinking, executive presence, cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and matrix leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• ASQ CMQ/OE, CQA, or CQE certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification.
• PMP certification and familiarity with FAR, DFARS, NIST, and related compliance frameworks.
• Experience with geographically dispersed quality organizations, digital transformation, and business modernization.
