Specialist Solutions Architect - Cloud Infrastructure & Platform (AWS)

Location: Remote within the United States; willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.

Salary: $180,000–$247,500 USD per year, with potential annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Guide enterprise customers through the full lifecycle of Databricks deployments on AWS, from architecture to production.
• Design secure, scalable deployments covering AWS networking, identity, compliance, and platform administration.
• Advise customers on AWS infrastructure, cloud networking, infrastructure-as-code, and identity management.
• Support Solutions Architects during technical sales cycles by creating proof-of-concept architectures and AWS-focused technical content.
• Deliver tutorials, run hackathons, speak at conferences, and contribute to the Databricks open-source community.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience with deep AWS expertise, including cloud security, networking, and enterprise data platforms.
• 2+ years of experience with distributed architectures and big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
• 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role, such as pre-sales, post-sales, or consulting.
• Specialized expertise in AWS security and identity, enterprise networking and deployments, platform administration, or infrastructure automation with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Scala and strong SQL proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Databricks and/or AWS certifications.
• Ability to meet role-specific training and technical delivery milestones within the first six months.
