Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA; hybrid work with four days per week in the office and Fridays from home for employees near an office, with a fully remote program also available.

Salary: $164,000–$227,000 base salary per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and evolve internal AI platforms, including Arhirify.globaldes, Bosun, and easyRAG, for LLM-powered applications and workflows.
• Design reusable APIs, SDKs, templates, and shared services for safe and reliable AI development.
• Prototype and productionize AI capabilities, turning successful use cases into durable platform features.
• Define golden-path patterns for LLM usage while balancing developer velocity, safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Establish evaluation, observability, quality, latency, safety, and cost-management practices across AI systems.
• Partner with Platform Engineering, Security, Risk, Legal, Product, and Operations to standardize governed AI adoption.

Requirements

• Significant experience building distributed systems, platform services, or internal developer tools.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs or ML services and production-quality AI features.
• Strong coding skills in at least one of Python, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with AI evaluation, prompt and version management, observability, cost control, safety, and data privacy.
• Strong technical judgment, communication skills, and experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Participation in an on-call rotation, including incident response outside regular working hours when necessary.
