IS Technical Specialist (Senior Application Developer and Technical Lead) (Java)

What you will do

• Analyze, design, and develop systems based on user specifications.
• Provide technical and consultative support for complex hardware and software issues.
• Develop and integrate large-scale backend and web applications.
• Design and maintain REST APIs, microservices, relational database schemas, and API gateway integrations.
• Guide developers, conduct code reviews, and coordinate technical deliverables.
• Troubleshoot and optimize applications for security, performance, responsiveness, and operational support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience, or an additional 4 years of related work experience in lieu of the degree.
• Fluency in Java 8 or above and strong knowledge of modern Java technologies and object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and React.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases, including DB2, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Experience with GCP, API development tools, CI/CD and source-control tools, including Swagger/OAS, Maven, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, and Postman/Newman.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apigee or a similar API gateway platform.
• Banking industry experience.
