Plant Operator (Nuclear)

Location: Orangeville, Utah, United States. Relocation to the Orangeville, Utah area is required.

What you will do

• Operate and monitor high-temperature reactor systems or pilot TRISO fuel fabrication equipment.
• Execute startup, shutdown, and routine operations according to safety and operating procedures.
• Work with design, controls, and engineering teams during commissioning, testing, and performance validation.
• Analyze operational data, identify trends, optimize efficiency, and maintain system reliability.
• Support process control, material handling, quality assurance, and procedure improvement for fuel fabrication operations.
• Maintain safety, environmental, and quality standards across daily plant operations.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent training in nuclear technology, mechanical, chemical, or electrical systems.
• At least 2 years of experience in industrial, power plant, or process operations.
• Strong understanding of safety culture, technical systems, and control instrumentation.
• Willingness to relocate to the Orangeville, Utah area.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Nice to have

• Experience in commercial, research, or naval nuclear operations or fuel fabrication.
• Familiarity with TRISO fuel systems, helium coolant loops, or high-temperature process systems.
• Experience with commissioning, plant startups, chemical processing, or control room operations.
