Senior Product Manager, PBM Platform (Healthcare)

Location: New York, NY or Remote within the United States

Salary: $150,000–$195,000 annually, depending on geographic location, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Own the vision, roadmap, and delivery plan for the PBM claims adjudication platform as it scales across volume, clients, and lines of business.
• Define how eligibility, coverage, pricing, rejections, overrides, and coordination of benefits should work across the claims lifecycle.
• Write product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release coordination.
• Partner with engineering, operations, clinical, legal, compliance, and client success teams to resolve ambiguity and meet workflow and regulatory requirements.
• Own testing, claim certification, production-volume validation, rollout readiness, parallel testing, and phased releases.
• Define and track KPIs for claim accuracy, system performance, and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of product management experience, preferably in healthcare or enterprise technology.
• Experience with complex, rules-driven transaction processing systems such as claims adjudication, payments, or benefit administration.
• Experience leading a platform migration or major system transition from requirements through go-live.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering, legal, operations, clinical, and compliance stakeholders.
• Strong communication, independent execution, attention to detail, and comfort working with complex data-heavy systems.
• Must be eligible to work remotely within the United States or work from New York, NY.

Nice to have

• Experience with PBMs, pharmacy claims, or pharmacy operations.
• Familiarity with regulated healthcare markets, including Medicare.
• Knowledge of NCPDP or Medi-Span pharmacy data standards.
• Experience with APIs, system integrations, or healthcare data platforms.
• MBA, MPH, or a relevant technical advanced degree.
