TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript/TypeScript): Building reliable two-way integrations and shared platform services that connect Mural with systems of record, collaboration tools, content services, and public APIs with an accent on third-party API reliability, security, and scalable abstractions. Focus on designing integration frameworks, handling upstream failures and changing contracts, and delivering projects from research and proof of concept through release and iteration.

What you will do
- Build and evolve two-way synchronization with systems of record such as Jira, Linear, and Asana.
- Design and maintain integrations across Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Office, video conferencing platforms, Slack, and other notification targets.
- Develop shared integration frameworks, services, and patterns for use across .
- Own content pathways including imports, image APIs, file uploads, iFrame embedding, PDF conversion, exports, and downloads.
- Maintain ’s public API and ensure backward compatibility for third-party developers.
- Lead projects from research and proof of concept through implementation, release, and iteration while ensuring quality, performance, reliability, security, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
- Fluency in modern JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience in React, Node.js, or comparable frameworks.
- Hands-on experience integrating third-party APIs and platforms, including OAuth, token lifecycle management, webhooks, rate limiting, pagination, versioning, and graceful degradation.
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping large-scale production software in an agile engineering environment.
- Experience designing and delivering scalable, high-performance systems and leading technical projects iteratively.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to lead technical discussions and navigate trade-offs.
- Outcome-oriented interest in AI-driven development practices and experience using AI tools in daily workflows.
Nice to have
- Experience with Microsoft Teams or Office add-in SDKs, partner marketplaces, or app review processes.
- Experience designing and maintaining a public developer API.
- Experience with Python, secure file handling at scale, content migration, or format conversion.
