Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid with at least 12 monthly in-office days

What you will do

• Architect, design, develop, and deploy backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design scalable backend systems and APIs with internal stakeholders.
• Lead features and initiatives from initial concept through delivery.
• Collaborate with Product to define scope and deliver incrementally.
• Contribute to the product development roadmap and promote engineering best practices.
• Share knowledge through technical talks and collaboration.

Requirements

• Senior-level backend software engineering experience.
• Expertise in microservice architecture, API design, and distributed high-volume systems.
• Strong coding practices focused on clean, secure, maintainable, readable, and testable code.
• Experience with cloud systems such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and relational databases.
• Ability to make data-driven, metric-based decisions and lead initiatives to completion.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with real-time and asynchronous systems.
• Experience with highly available infrastructure.
