Senior Collections Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Remote in Latin America during U.S. business hours

What you will do

• Manage and prioritize complex, high-balance delinquent commercial accounts according to risk, balance, and aging.
• Evaluate business cash flow and financial health to structure repayment plans, settlements, and workout arrangements.
• Serve as the escalation point for sensitive, high-value, and severe-risk collections cases.
• Conduct financial research and risk evaluations to reduce losses and prevent pre-charge-offs.
• Analyze portfolio performance and delinquency trends, reporting findings to management.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Customer Service, and Sales while mentoring junior collections specialists.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience handling complex, high-balance, or high-risk collections accounts in fintech, merchant cash advance, commercial lending, or B2B financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Exceptional English communication skills at C1/C2 level, including de-escalation, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, collections software, ACH banking processes, and Microsoft Excel.
• Deep knowledge of FDCPA guidelines and U.S. commercial collections regulations.
