AVP, External Communications & PR (Semiconductor)

Location: San Diego, CA, United States

Salary: $216,500–$320,350 per annum, plus bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead global media relations and an always-on earned media program across business, financial, technology, trade, and regional outlets.
• Shape hirify.global’s corporate narrative and external messaging, including executive thought-leadership platforms, bylines, interviews, events, podcasts, and other media opportunities.
• Advise, coach, and prepare senior executives and technical spokespeople for high-profile external engagements.
• Lead corporate reputation, crisis, and issues communications, coordinating responses with Legal, Investor Relations, executives, and other stakeholders.
• Manage global PR agencies, media monitoring and distribution platforms, and regional execution across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
• Translate complex semiconductor, AI, data infrastructure, product, and business developments into compelling narratives for investors, analysts, customers, partners, and media.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in B2B technology communications, public relations, and earned media, including substantial public-company experience.
• Established relationships with tier-one business, financial, technology, and trade media covering semiconductors, data infrastructure, AI, or related sectors.
• At least 8 years managing PR agency relationships and holding external partners accountable for measurable results.
• Experience leading crisis and issues communications, advising senior executives, and preparing spokespeople for media engagements.
• Working knowledge of Regulation FD, public-company disclosure requirements, media monitoring, and distribution platforms.
