Master Mechanic

Location: Frankfort, Illinois, USA; onsite. Schedule: 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime and weekends.

Salary: $38.00–$40.00 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Execute planned and reactive maintenance tasks using CMMS instructions and document work orders during the same shift.
• Improve equipment uptime through condition monitoring, preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and reliability-centered practices.
• Maintain and repair packaging equipment, pneumatic tube-crimping systems, industrial mixers, and pressurized systems.
• Troubleshoot motor-driven equipment and perform basic diagnostics on PLC-controlled systems.
• Coordinate parts and tool sourcing, maintain 5S standards, and drive waste reduction and cost savings through Lean principles.
• Follow safety procedures for LOTO, hot work, confined spaces, PPE, permits, and electrically classified areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• CMRT certification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
• Working knowledge of RCM and CMMS documentation standards.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Ability to work onsite in Frankfort, Illinois, with occasional overtime and weekends.

Nice to have

• Technical degree or apprenticeship in maintenance or mechanical work.
• Experience with RCA methodologies, predictive maintenance, Lean improvements, pneumatic packaging equipment, industrial mixers, and pressurized systems.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and working in electrically rated or classified environments.
• Spanish/English bilingual communication skills.
