Failure Analysis Engineer (Semiconductor / Electronics)

What you will do

• Conduct semiconductor and electronics failure analysis investigations from technical scoping through analytical planning, testing, interpretation, and recommendations.
• Identify root causes of product, design, fabrication, and manufacturing failures using advanced laboratory tools and techniques.
• Perform electrical testing, fault isolation, microprobing, microscopy, X-ray analysis, SEM/EDS, and materials analysis.
• Lead or collaborate on multidisciplinary engineering teams handling complex client issues, legal projects, and reliability challenges.
• Plan projects, develop new analytical methods, communicate findings to clients, and recommend corrective or containment actions.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Hands-on failure analysis laboratory experience in the semiconductor and electronics industry.
• Expertise in root cause failure analysis, fault isolation, electrical measurements, microprobing/picoprobing, 2D X-ray, and SEM/EDS.
• Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication, device physics, circuits, IC design, manufacturing, package assembly, and reliability testing.
• Excellent written and spoken English, strong attention to accuracy, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively under deadlines.

Nice to have

• Technical lead, manager, or mentoring experience.
• Experience with LVP/LTP, SDL/LADA, DBFIB/PFIB, 3D CT X-ray, C-SAM, deprocessing, chemical or plasma etching, cross-sectioning, nanoprobing, FinFET, advanced-node technology, and DPA.
• Experience with GDS layout and LabView.
