Process Engineering Intern (Manufacturing)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin, USA; onsite manufacturing plant environment

What you will do

• Lead engineering projects through investigation, scoping, design, and implementation to improve safety and production capacity.
• Build data visualization dashboards using plant historian data.
• Support capital projects, commissioning, and start-up activities during plant shutdowns.
• Assist engineers with plant trials and production or maintenance troubleshooting.
• Follow quality, food safety, environmental, GMP, HACCP-HARPC, and site EHS requirements.

Requirements

• Available for full-time work, 40 hours per week, during either Spring/Summer 2027 or Summer/Fall 2027.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to work safely and comply with corporate and site EHS guidelines.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing plant with prolonged standing, walking, work at heights, and temperature extremes.

Nice to have

• Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to complete projects independently and collaborate in a team environment.
