Biomedical Technician I (Medical Equipment)

Location: Richmond District site and Ashland, Virginia; work is primarily performed at customer healthcare sites

Salary: $24.49–$39.19 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair company- and customer-owned medical devices.
• Perform operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair services.
• Complete service records and computer data entry accurately for billing and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with clinical staff about equipment features and functionality.
• Travel periodically and provide emergency support as needed for 24/7 operations.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology; equivalent military training or CBET certification may qualify.
• Basic computer skills and an understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
• Current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Availability for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and perform prolonged standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and other physical activities.
