Senior Principal Scientist, Clinical Biomarkers

What you will do

• Develop and lead clinical biomarker strategies across oncology and rare disease programs.
• Define biomarker plans for target engagement, pharmacodynamic activity, mechanism of action, patient stratification, efficacy, and safety.
• Select and apply cellular, tissue-based, genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and emerging biomarker technologies.
• Oversee biomarker assay development, fit-for-purpose validation, analytical performance, and data quality.
• Collaborate with clinical, translational, statistical, regulatory, operational, and external partners.
• Lead CRO and laboratory oversight while managing biomarker budgets, contracts, timelines, and regulatory documentation.

Requirements

• Experience designing and implementing biomarker plans within clinical studies.
• Strong understanding of translational science and clinical biomarker applications.
• Experience with biomarker assay development, validation, analytical performance assessment, and clinical data quality.
• PhD in Immunology, Oncology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent education and industry experience.
• Experience in oncology or rare disease drug development is strongly preferred.
• Business-level English, written and spoken, is required.

Nice to have

• PhD and post-doctoral studies in Immunology or Oncology.
• Experience with late-stage or registration-enabling programs and regulatory submissions.
• Experience selecting and managing CROs, external laboratories, and scientific partners.
• Business-level French, written and spoken.
