Axle Maintenance Team Member (Detroit, MI)

Location: Detroit, MI, United States; onsite. Applicants must be able to work in or relocate to Detroit. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $36.73 per hour, plus a 7.5% premium for afternoon and midnight shifts.

What you will do

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production machinery.
• Service and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
• Perform planned maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Work with PLC- and CNC-controlled equipment, including manual process corrections, tool changes, and setup.
• Support maintenance processes involving heating, cooling, pipefitting, welding, lifting, transport, and rigging.
• Collaborate regularly with engineers and service technicians.

Requirements

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Certified Journeyperson card or documentation of 8 years of experience required.
• Experience with electrical and/or mechanical maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of gauge methods and lock-out procedures.
• Experience with machining processes and PLC- or CNC-controlled equipment.
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available, including for existing visa holders.
