Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services

Location: Mount Dora, Florida, United States; on-site facility services role

Hourly wage: $19.00–$35.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour

What you will do

• Operate and maintain lawn care, trimming, mowing, weed control, and other exterior facility equipment.
• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance projects while coordinating resources and workforce needs.
• Source and verify materials, parts, and equipment purchases while supporting cost control.
• Perform seasonal maintenance, including snow and ice management, shopping cart service, and interior case cleaning.
• Lead third-party providers, conduct quality inspections, and ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
• Inspect and maintain vehicles and equipment, troubleshoot facility concerns, and address customer issues.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in the landscaping or gardening industry.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Experience with lawn care, trimming, mowing, and weed control.
• Ability to safely operate, inspect, and maintain powered equipment and vehicles.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA guidelines and commitment to safety, environmental, and company standards.
• Communication, customer service, project coordination, budget management, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree or equivalent in engineering, maintenance, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience managing third-party providers.
• Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
• Applicable state or local licensing, including Florida licensing where required.
