TL;DR
Show Director (Broadcast Production): Directing and coordinating digital shows, newscasts, news briefs, special event coverage, and other studio or remote productions with an accent on broadcast automation, technical crew coordination, and live production execution. Focus on building and modifying Ross Vision switcher effects, managing iNEWS rundowns and production systems, and making rapid decisions during breaking news and high-pressure broadcasts.
Location: Miami, FL; 100% onsite

What you will do
- Create and edit show rundowns in iNEWS and code Ross Overdrive automation.
- Direct digital shows, newscasts, news briefs, special events, and other assigned productions.
- Coordinate graphics, music, audio, playback, switcher, server, and other presentation elements.
- Operate as a Technical Director during manual operations and build or modify Ross Vision switcher and automation effects.
- Coordinate technical and staging requirements with producers and production crews.
- Lead the technical crew, provide performance feedback, and support goal setting.
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent experience in Broadcast Communications.
- 5–10 years of experience directing or producing studio programs using automation and manual operations.
- Knowledge of production switchers, Ross Vision Switcher, Ross CamBot robotic camera systems, and TV studio or control-room equipment.
- Experience with Ross Overdrive, iNEWS, VizRT Trio, playback devices, Calrec audio consoles, Enco, Miranda, and EVS systems.
- Ability to make quick decisions, multitask, prioritize, and perform under pressure during breaking news situations.
- Bilingual English and Spanish required; availability for days, nights, overnights, weekends, holidays, on-call coverage, and extended onsite work during special circumstances.
