Engineer II, Process Engineering

Location: Norwood, Massachusetts, United States; 100% onsite

Salary: $74,000–$118,400 per year, with potential bonus, incentive compensation, or equity award subject to eligibility.

What you will do

• Provide engineering support and subject matter expertise for GMP process equipment, including filtration, chromatography, mixing, fermentation, filling, inspection, packaging, formulation, and analytical systems.
• Lead small- to medium-sized engineering projects through design, procurement, installation, start-up, commissioning, validation, and qualification.
• Troubleshoot alarms, out-of-specification conditions, equipment failures, and out-of-tolerance events; determine root causes and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Reduce manufacturing events, user interventions, batch record excursions, and process disruptions through equipment optimization and continuous improvement.
• Maintain equipment assets, preventive maintenance plans, calibration records, spare parts, work orders, engineering turnover packages, and automated processing methods.
• Collaborate with MS&T, Facilities, Validation, Quality Assurance, and equipment end users while supporting audits, changeovers, investigations, and on-call troubleshooting.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Facilities, Engineering, or Operations.
• Experience or familiarity with manufacturing equipment, production-line performance, OEE, MTBF, MTTF, reliability, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to use structured problem-solving methods, investigate root causes, and develop effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Technical writing, communication, time-management, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Work must be performed onsite in Norwood, Massachusetts. Access to export-controlled information may require U.S. person status or an approved export license.

Nice to have

• Experience in a GxP environment.
• Basic statistical analysis experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
