Project Engineer I (Manufacturing)

Location: Park Rapids, Minnesota, USA (plant); onsite role.

Salary: $71,410–$107,110 per year.

What you will do

• Lead single or multiple capital engineering projects from initial request and design through installation, startup, and post-project support.
• Develop design options, cost impacts, contractor bid packages, project documentation, and capital requests.
• Track project costs, purchase materials, coordinate purchase order corrections, and support annual maintenance budgeting.
• Work with plant engineering, maintenance, production, corporate engineering, contractors, and other departments.
• Support contractor safety, Process Safety Management, SDS distribution, system security, and plant administrative reporting.
• Develop and maintain the long-term capital plan while ensuring projects meet schedule, cost, policy, and business requirements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of project management experience, preferably leading projects from beginning to end.
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing systems and equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Project management experience in a manufacturing environment; food processing or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is relevant.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, communication, initiative, and dependability skills.
• Must work onsite at the Park Rapids, Minnesota plant.
