On Call/Flex Laboratory Assistant

What you will do

• Assist with daily sample assays and perform testing from assigned work lists.
• Set up sample batches, weigh samples, prepare testing solutions, and identify samples requiring rechecks.
• Record test data and results in logbooks, record books, BookMaster, and eLIMS.
• Maintain clean and safe laboratory work areas, glassware, and hazardous-waste procedures.
• Identify analytical or method difficulties, report them to the supervisor, and propose solutions.
• Communicate with colleagues, clients, and staff while protecting proprietary methodologies.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 0–3 years of experience.
• Basic understanding of ISO 17025 guidelines.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, respond effectively to issues, and follow quality, safety, environmental, and company procedures.
• Ability to work onsite in or commute to Des Moines, Iowa.
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands repetitively, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
