Letter of Credit Specialist I (International Trade Finance)

Salary: $22.61–$37.67 per hour

What you will do

• Process amendments for commercial and performance or financial standby letters of credit accurately and on time.
• Apply International Trade Finance policies, procedures, and controls to identify fraudulently presented items.
• Process transactions in adherence to International Chamber of Commerce guidelines.
• Participate in letter of credit project teams and complete related assignments.
• Provide cross-training assistance to less experienced staff and report progress to management.
• Identify risk-related issues and escalate them to management when necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of work experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow risk, regulatory, and internal control standards.

Nice to have

• International Trade Operations experience.
• Commercial lending experience.
• Knowledge of relevant banking systems.
