Compliance Counsel

Location: Primarily in-office at the Santa Clara, California office; remote work is not indicated.

Annual base salary: $126,000–$189,000 USD, with potential incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Design, launch, and refine global ethics and compliance training programs and company-wide events.
• Conduct risk-based due diligence on prospective vendors and channel partners.
• Review business requests, evaluate policy exceptions, and manage policy acknowledgment tracking.
• Support internal compliance reviews and investigations through witness interviews, evidence analysis, document review, and report drafting.
• Monitor global regulatory, legislative, and industry developments related to anti-bribery, privacy, export controls, and other compliance areas.
• Partner with Legal, HR, Finance, and Operations to maintain internal controls and mitigate legal risk.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission or pending bar application in at least one jurisdiction.
• Understanding of global regulatory standards and risk areas, including anti-bribery and anti-corruption, privacy, trade compliance, or competition law.
• Experience may come from a law firm, in-house legal department, or government or regulatory agency.
• Strong legal research, analytical, investigative, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work from the Santa Clara, California office, except during paid time off, work travel, or other approved leave.
