Construction Inspectors

Location: On-site in Poughkeepsie or Albany, New York, United States, with regular travel to field locations

Salary: $27.00–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Observe and document construction activities at designated project sites.
• Inspect roads, stormwater utilities, and water and sanitary sewer installations.
• Interpret construction documents and monitor compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare field reports and record documents.
• Travel regularly from the Albany or Poughkeepsie office to field locations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of construction inspection experience, or a four-year degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture with 1–3 years of construction inspection experience.
• Knowledge of roads, stormwater utilities, water and sanitary sewer line installations, and SWPPP inspections.
• Knowledge of erosion and sediment control installation and maintenance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Additional certifications may be required.

Nice to have

• OSHA 10-hour certification.
• Microsoft Office experience.
