Project Manager (High-Voltage Infrastructure)

Location: Pineville, Louisiana, United States; on-site. Approximately 15% overnight travel is required, historically one to three nights per month, with additional day travel as needed.

DIS-TRAN Steel manages steel infrastructure projects involving engineering, materials, construction partners, and customer delivery.

What you will do

• Manage project schedules from initiation through closeout and keep delivery aligned with schedule, budget, quality, and financial expectations.
• Serve as the primary customer contact and provide regular technical and financial project updates.
• Coordinate Engineering, Purchasing, Expediting, consultants, subcontractors, construction managers, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Manage drawings, submittals, materials, change orders, accelerations, delays, shipping issues, and other project changes.
• Monitor project risks, initiate corrective actions, support accurate invoicing, and escalate significant issues when appropriate.
• Lead operational projects and continuous-improvement initiatives, complete closeouts, and capture lessons learned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Technology, or a related field plus three years of project management experience, or five years of successful project management experience with PMP certification in lieu of a degree.
• Qualifications that satisfy or exceed PMI guidelines for taking the PMP exam.
• Strong knowledge of project management practices, methods, and techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, customer-service, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to coordinate technical work, stakeholders, and changing priorities across cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• General knowledge of high-voltage substations or transmission lines.
