Senior BSA/AML Analyst (Cannabis)

Location: Remote

Base salary: $70,000–$100,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Monitor and investigate AML alerts across multiple banking program partners.
• Conduct cannabis client due diligence, risk assessments, ongoing monitoring, and account reviews.
• Prepare marijuana-related SAR filings under FinCEN guidance, including limited, priority, and termination filings.
• Support the development and calibration of transaction-monitoring rules for cannabis-related typologies.
• Administer Cannabis Related Business onboarding, including license verification and beneficial ownership analysis.
• Support regulatory examinations and audits, and investigate negative news, OFAC, PEP, and license-violation alerts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of BSA/AML compliance experience.
• Experience filing marijuana-related SARs under FinCEN’s MRB guidance framework.
• Knowledge of BaaS compliance models and AML obligations across partner programs.
• Experience with AML transaction-monitoring, compliance, and case-management platforms such as Abrigo BAM+, LexisNexis, and Salesforce.
• Ability to interpret state cannabis license data, dispensary, cultivator, and processor structures, and their alignment with banking activity.
