AML Analyst II (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States

Salary: $61,900–$74,100 USD annual base salary

What you will do

• Review and investigate AML alerts, internal referrals, unusual activity, and high-risk transaction flows.
• Validate adverse media, analyze customer activity and transaction histories, and identify red flags.
• Prepare clear and well-supported Unusual Activity Report narratives for the partner bank.
• Identify emerging risks, trends, and patterns using data analysis and external research tools.
• Document and escalate potentially suspicious activity while supporting internal AML reporting.
• Partner with Fraud and Investigations teams and contribute to control improvements and operational efficiency projects.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in AML compliance or investigations.
• Experience in US banking or financial services and strong knowledge of AML regulations and compliance processes.
• Ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns and risks, and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Latin American AML regulations and compliance frameworks.
• ACAMS certification.
