NPI Hardware Productization Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Milpitas, California, USA

Base pay range: $136,300–$231,700 annually

hirify.global develops inspection, measurement, and process-control systems for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. The SensArray division provides in-situ thermal process control and automated process-control solutions for semiconductor fabs and mask shops.

What you will do

• Lead NPI activities from prototype through production release and transition new hardware products into manufacturing.
• Coordinate prototype, pilot, qualification, first-article, and production builds.
• Develop build plans, validation activities, manufacturing-readiness reviews, and production test strategies.
• Drive Design for Excellence initiatives covering manufacturability, assembly, testability, reliability, serviceability, quality, and cost.
• Identify technical risks, lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions, and resolve issues with cross-functional teams.
• Complete manufacturing documentation, including bills of materials, work instructions, and test procedures, while supporting suppliers and contract manufacturers.

Requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering, materials engineering, physics, or systems engineering.
• Experience in electrical hardware development, productization, NPI, pilot builds, and manufacturing ramp-up.
• Experience taking hardware designs from concept through manufacturing release.
• Knowledge of microelectronics, semiconductor devices, advanced packaging, and electronic assembly manufacturing processes.
• Strong hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and experience working with global suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Familiarity with semiconductor equipment, industrial systems, or high-reliability products.
