Johnson & Johnson MedTech develops orthopaedic and surgical solutions through its DePuy Synthes business, including trauma, joint reconstruction, spine, sports medicine, and robotic and digital surgery products.

What you will do

  • Support sales objectives, customer retention, product conversions, and market-share growth across the assigned territory.
  • Guide surgeons in the operating room by presenting, demonstrating, and supporting proper use of trauma products.
  • Attend surgeries, confirm equipment availability and performance, optimize instrument trays, and advise operating-room and sterile-processing teams.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, respond to customer requests, manage hospital billing, and create or close purchase orders.
  • Maintain and deploy equipment and assets, track product availability, and keep promotional materials and service offerings at required quality standards.
  • Share customer and market insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic-account teams while managing surgeon and account relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; or an associate degree or medical certification such as CST or PT plus at least two years of related experience; or at least four years of related experience; recently transitioned from active military duty is also accepted.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory and operating-room environment.
  • Valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
  • Residence in or willingness to relocate to the Portland, Oregon territory.
  • Ability to travel, including possible weekend and overnight travel.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic-thinking, problem-solving, organization, self-motivation, and business-acumen skills.

Nice to have

  • Technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions.
  • Experience with account management, relationship building, solutions selling, market research, sales presentations, and healthcare trends.
