Working Student Software/Electrical Engineering (Industrial Automation)

Industrial manufacturing company developing coating, adhesive, sealant, and container production equipment for manufacturing customers.

What you will do

• Support the development, testing, and validation of electrical and software-based systems.
• Set up, wire, commission, and troubleshoot prototypes and test equipment.
• Assist with software development, debugging, testing, and test automation.
• Develop and improve internal engineering, data analysis, and software tools.
• Collect, process, analyze, and document measurement and test data.
• Create technical documentation and coordinate product development tasks with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other departments.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, control technology, software development, industrial automation, or related engineering disciplines.
• Initial programming experience in Python, JavaScript, C/C++, or a comparable language.
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics, measurement techniques, and technical systems.
• Good written and spoken English skills; German is advantageous.
• Structured, hands-on, analytical, and collaborative working style with strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLC systems, test automation, data analysis, industrial communication systems, or measurement equipment.
• Previous internship, technical project, or hands-on engineering experience.
