Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Seals)

Location: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; onsite role with meetings at end-user sites

Salary: CAD 80,000–100,000 yearly

What you will do

• Provide technical assistance to sales teams and customers on product types, materials, and designs.
• Analyze product designs and prepare application documents for defined operating conditions.
• Review manufacturing drawings and layouts to confirm compliance with end-user requirements.
• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve product performance issues and failures; document findings and recommendations.
• Visit end users to troubleshoot product problems and perform product installations.
• Assemble and test products as required and provide in-depth product training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, mechanical seals, compressors, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar technical role in an industrial environment.
• High computer proficiency, including MS Office and CAD software such as Solid Edge.
• Working toward a P.Eng. designation is preferred.
