Mechanical Engineering Intern Spring 2027 (Aerospace)

Location: Toronto, Canada; full-time, on-site for at least 16 consecutive weeks beginning January 4, 2027

What you will do

• Support the development, testing, and maintenance of mechanical aspects of reaction wheel and star tracker products.
• Design parts and assemblies and prepare engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Apply engineering and industry concepts to solve practical hardware challenges.
• Work with mentors, supervisors, and cross-functional colleagues while providing progress updates.
• Participate in technical talks and professional events with interns and employees.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s program in mechanical or aerospace engineering and have at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• Experience designing parts and assemblies and preparing engineering drawings using CAD software such as Solid Edge or SolidWorks.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical components and assemblies.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• At least three months of applied engineering experience through an internship, laboratory work, or personal/team projects.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Toronto for a minimum of 16 consecutive weeks beginning January 4, 2027.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.5 or above and at least six months of applied engineering experience.
• Experience building electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with structural and thermal finite element analysis.
• Python experience.
