Consultant, Application Development (SAP)

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom SAP applications using ABAP.
• Build reports, interfaces, BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, enhancements, and forms.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with SAP best practices and hirify.global development standards.
• Troubleshoot SAP custom developments and integrations, optimize programs, and improve system performance.
• Support SAP upgrades, migrations, integrations with other SAP modules and third-party systems, and production on-call activities.
• Collaborate with functional teams, project stakeholders, and business partners to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience as a SAP ABAP developer.
• Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented ABAP, SAP S/4HANA, CDS Views, the Enhancement Framework, BADI/User Exits, modular programming, and OData services.
• Experience integrating SAP Fiori/UI5 applications; exposure to Fiori/UI5 development is an asset.
• Knowledge of SAP reports, dialog programming, enhancements, Smart Forms, SAPscript, Adobe Forms, interfaces, BAPIs, and BADIs.
• Degree or education in Computer Science, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Nice to have

• SAP certification.
• Experience with SAP FI/CO modules.
• Familiarity with SAP SDI components and data integration.
