Senior Contracts Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role based near hirify.global's Herndon, Virginia office, with on-site work 2–3 days per week; candidates should live within approximately 50 miles. The role supports customers primarily in the Washington, DC metro area and includes limited travel to customer sites.

Salary: $121,000–$150,900 USD base salary annually, plus bonus plans and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the negotiation, structuring, and administration of government and commercial contracts across cybersecurity solutions.
• Partner with Sales, Business Development, Legal, Professional Services, and Operations to structure deals and manage risk in classified and export-controlled environments.
• Lead negotiations for FFP, T&M, IDIQ task orders, OTAs, commercial technology agreements, software licenses, and EULAs.
• Support proposals and pricing strategy while managing modifications, options, funding actions, and contract closeout.
• Develop negotiation strategies that protect intellectual property and mitigate contractual risk.
• Improve contracting operations through templates, playbooks, workflow automation, and contract lifecycle data.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of progressive government contract management experience with hands-on negotiation across multiple contract types.
• Deep knowledge of FAR and DFARS, including DFARS cybersecurity clauses such as 252.204-7012.
• Experience working directly with government Contracting Officers, prime contractor counterparts, and commercial procurement teams.
• Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and other trade compliance regulations applied to software and technology transactions.
• Strong analytical and risk assessment skills, including briefing leadership on risk/reward trade-offs.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the United States; certain positions may require U.S. Person status under ITAR/EAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Active TS/SCI clearance strongly preferred.
• Active TS clearance with willingness to upgrade.
