Head of Operations - North America

Location: Hybrid in New York or Toronto; candidates must have the right to work in the jurisdiction where they will work.

Yearly salary: $170,000–$210,000

What you will do

• Lead the North American Operations team, including analysts and incident leads, while managing capacity and regional resource planning.
• Manage end-to-end trust account operations, including maintenance, asset transfers, distributions, closures, payments, settlements, and corporate actions.
• Oversee reconciliations across custodial, cash, and securities positions, as well as regulatory, fiduciary, and audit reporting.
• Improve customer onboarding, support, payment operations, partner integrations, complaints handling, service metrics, and SLA performance.
• Identify process efficiencies using AI tooling and collaborate with compliance, product, engineering, banking partnerships, and relationship management.
• Ensure analyst coverage for product discovery and testing while supporting consistent operational delivery across regions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in payments or fintech operations, including leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of cross-border payments, transaction flows, FX, digital wallets, and financial infrastructure.
• Experience working in API-first and regulated environments across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience scaling operational teams and systems in high-growth fintech or scale-up environments.
• Experience in trust or banking operations and with trust or core banking platforms such as FIS, SEI, or Fiserv.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, data analysis, process optimization, and reporting skills.
