Engineer II - Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Automotive)

Location: Saline, Michigan, United States. The role is onsite and requires existing US work authorization; visa or employment-based immigration sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

What you will do

• Design and review wire harness circuitry for power distribution, connectors, joints, splicing, grounding, and CAN communication.
• Align circuitry schedules with vehicle development milestones and support timely program execution.
• Create and release wire harness drawings, change documentation, and technical data for production.
• Collaborate with suppliers on fuse, relay, and other power distribution components.
• Maintain wire harness parts lists and support traceability and configuration management.
• Partner with system engineers, project leaders, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to resolve design challenges and improve engineering workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience working directly with wire harness suppliers in design, development, or production.
• Ability to interpret and apply circuit schematics and wiring diagrams across electrical systems.
• Understanding of vehicle development and manufacturing processes.
• Programming or coding experience, such as Python, and experience using AI tools including Copilot or ChatGPT.
• Must have the right to work in the United States and must not require hirify.global immigration support or sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Advanced engineering degree or experience across complete vehicle development cycles.
• Experience with Cabling Designer, CR5000, or Zuken.
• Japanese language capability.
