Data Scientist (Sportsbook)

Location: New York City, hybrid

Salary: $98,000–$128,100 USD per year, depending on experience, location, business needs, and market demand.

hirify.global is a mobile gaming company operating Sportsbook, casino, horse racing, daily fantasy sports, television, and streaming products across the United States and Canada.

What you will do

• Lead data science projects from definition of KPIs through delivery, progress tracking, and outcome reporting.
• Build customer segmentation, predictive models, and automated bonus spend distribution solutions for Sportsbook.
• Analyze customer behavior, promotional efficiency, and bonus spend effectiveness to identify revenue opportunities.
• Use AI responsibly to accelerate analysis while managing output quality and model risk.
• Create interpretable visualizations and explain insights, recommendations, methods, biases, and limitations.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, CRM, Commercial leadership, and other stakeholders to improve data quality and strategic outcomes.

Requirements

• New York City hybrid availability is required.
• At least 1 year of data science experience and at least 1 year building and deploying complex machine learning models in real-world applications.
• Strong quantitative analysis skills, including SQL and experience manipulating large datasets in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with statistical or programming tools and techniques, such as Python, R, C#, or VBA.
• Ability to explain technical projects to non-technical stakeholders.
• Undergraduate degree in a numerate or technical discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
• Interest in sports.
• Interest or experience in the sports betting industry.
