Football Quantitative Researcher (Sports Betting)

What you will do

• Develop probabilistic models to calculate football outcome probabilities.
• Build and validate profitable betting models using real-money results.
• Extract information from sports and market data sources.
• Develop end-to-end Python pipelines, API integrations, model deployment, monitoring, and debugging.
• Work with GLMs, BMMs, Kalman filters, MCMC, and the TrueSkill Ranking system.
• Collaborate with experienced quantitative researchers on complex sporting questions.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• At least 3 years of football experience within the sports betting industry.
• Proven experience building profitable betting models with real-money results.
• Deep expertise in probability, statistics, and machine learning, including leakage, overfitting, calibration, uncertainty, and realistic validation.
• Strong Python and engineering skills for building and operating models end to end.
• Hands-on experience using LLMs and coding agents in an AI-native research and development workflow.
