Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

Location: Hybrid at offices in Vienna, Virginia; Pensacola, Florida; or Winchester, Virginia. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Salary: $80,400–$135,600 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and evaluate basic predictive models and algorithms.
• Extract and analyze data using machine learning, programming, data modeling, and advanced mathematics.
• Interpret model results, identify trends, and develop descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analyses.
• Code software programs, algorithms, and automated processes.
• Collaborate on team projects and document and present analytical findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 2–3 years of experience in exploratory data analysis.
• Knowledge of statistics, programming, data modeling, simulation, mathematics, and model lifecycle execution.
• Experience with SQL, R, Python, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, Scala, and AWS.
• Skills in technical writing, data storytelling, technical presentations, research, critical thinking, and problem solving.
• United States work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
