Health IT Analyst (Power BI)

Salary: $95,000–$98,000 per year, with the final offer dependent on location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Develop and support Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, SQL logic, SSRS reports, Tableau reports, and automated reporting emails.
• Support healthcare data flows and analytics for the Department of Health and Human Services and National Institutes of Health informatics functions.
• Manage Tableau Server users, groups, schedules, data sources, and extracts.
• Convert Tableau dashboards and reports to Power BI, translating calculations, filters, parameters, relationships, and visualizations.
• Validate reports against Tableau outputs and source data, troubleshoot data and reporting issues, and monitor quality assurance.
• Gather business requirements, support validation and user acceptance testing, document solutions, and maintain stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of SQL experience plus three years of Power BI development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working with healthcare or clinical data and enterprise-level BI and reporting environments.
• Experience with Tableau calculations, data models, dashboards, Power BI Service, workspaces, gateways, data refreshes, deployment, and row-level security.
• Ability to develop complex queries, analyze joins and transformations, investigate data issues, and work with limited day-to-day technical oversight.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property.
