Management Accountant

What you will do

• Prepare management accounts, perform detailed variance analysis, and provide clear financial commentary.
• Act as a finance business partner and lead regular financial review meetings with budget holders.
• Prepare general ledger analyses, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT return schedules, and supporting schedules.
• Lead annual budgeting and capital expenditure planning, including financial models, timelines, and narrative commentary.
• Manage external statistical and regulatory submissions and contribute to reporting standardisation, KPI refinement, and process improvement.
• Provide operational cover for vendor setups and support wider finance projects and peak reporting cycles.

Requirements

• Around five years of finance experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
• Accounting or finance degree and a relevant professional qualification, such as finalist, part-qualified, or QBE status.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong experience with management accounting and financial analysis.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate complex financial metrics to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work from London.
