Senior Software Engineer (Python/Django)

Location: Remote Finland

Salary: €45,000–€60,000 per year

What you will do

• Deliver features and architectural improvements across automated moderation pipelines, Reviewer tools, DevHub, and add-on submission flows.
• Build and operate production services, internal developer platforms, deployment systems, and paved paths for safe software delivery.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines through declarative, pipeline-as-code approaches and reproducible infrastructure workflows.
• Develop observability systems using metrics, logging, tracing, service-level objectives, and actionable alerting.
• Define engineering standards covering testing, production readiness, recoverability, runbooks, incident response, and on-call practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, QA, reviewers, support teams, and open-source contributors while documenting technical decisions and operational learnings.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining production applications with Python and Django.
• Experience operating reliable production systems and debugging complex issues across frontend, backend, asynchronous jobs, data stores, and infrastructure.
• Strong experience with CI/CD, declarative infrastructure, automated testing, integration testing, and staged or progressive delivery.
• Experience with observability, including metrics, logging, tracing, service-level objectives, and alerting.
• Experience building internal tools or platforms and improving code review, operational readiness, incident response, documentation, and on-call practices.
• Strong technical writing, collaboration, communication, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing skills in a distributed environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, or policy-as-code tooling.
• Experience establishing SLOs and error-budget-based reliability practices.
• Experience with chaos engineering, disaster recovery testing, or production readiness reviews.
• Experience with trust and safety, automated moderation, abuse prevention, adversarial systems, or open-source contributions.
