Transportation Manager (Logistics)

Location: McDonough, Georgia, United States

Salary: $101,000–$152,000 annual; bonus and/or incentive eligible.

What you will do

• Manage local drivers and coordinate communication between drivers, branch management, and corporate management.
• Optimize daily routes and fleet activities based on workloads and customer orders.
• Implement new routes and improve transportation service efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation and company regulations.
• Coordinate driver training, fleet safety, vehicle maintenance, and required driver meetings.
• Develop and mentor staff while visiting customers to resolve operational issues and improve delivery service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience managing and dispatching drivers and using routing software.
• Intermediate knowledge of transportation costing and motor carrier operations.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to ensure safe fleet operations and compliance with DOT and company requirements.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of experience coaching, mentoring, and training staff.
