Transportation Supervisor

Location: 18251 E Petroleum Dr, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. Onsite role with a Monday–Friday shift from 4 PM to 1 AM and flexibility to respond when needed; support for a 24-hour operation may be required.

Salary: $85,000 per year plus up to a 10% company bonus.

What you will do

• Supervise, recruit, coach, train, and evaluate Class A and B delivery drivers.
• Schedule and reroute driver routes, analyze route performance, and coordinate deliveries and backhauls.
• Monitor driver hours of service, trip sheets, performance logs, safety observations, and compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company standards.
• Manage fleet maintenance scheduling, accident investigations, driver qualification files, payroll reviews, and truck leasing coordination.
• Prepare transportation reports, monitor budgets and fuel cards, and support budget development.
• Handle customer complaints, maintain positive customer relationships, and coordinate communication with drivers, departments, vendors, and leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma; some college hours or a two-year degree is preferred.
• 2–3 years of documented supervisory experience and 2–3 years of route scheduling experience.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation and FMCSA rules and regulations.
• Experience with MS Office, SAP, Samsara, transportation management systems, computers, and scanner equipment or software.
• Strong organizational, decision-making, communication, and people skills; willingness to carry an emergency cell phone as needed.
• Ability to pass a background check every third year; Commercial Driver’s License Class A and bilingual ability are preferred.
