Fleet Technician B-A

Location: Must be within a 45-minute safe driving distance of Marion, IN 46952. Shift work may be required. Travel of 80%–100% may be required for Fleet Technicians supporting Transmission.

Salary: $34.45–$42.79 per hour

What you will do

• Service and repair boom, pedestal, winch, hydraulic, steering, braking, transmission, differential, fuel, exhaust, HVAC, and auxiliary systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel and gasoline engines, fuel injection systems, turbo systems, compressors, pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and control systems.
• Inspect and load-test boom assemblies, cables, chains, bearings, braking systems, and other specialized equipment components.
• Operate company vehicles and associated equipment and report irregularities or abnormal conditions.
• Maintain tools, equipment, work areas, service records, and required reports.
• Assist with complex diagnoses, train other employees, and direct the work of assigned assistants.

Requirements

• Must be within a 45-minute safe driving distance of Marion, IN 46952.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of automotive mechanical diagnosis experience, including hydraulic and diesel repair.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Must obtain a Class A CDL within 12 months of entering the Fleet Technician B classification.
• Must obtain Fluid Power Society Certification and two applicable ASE certifications within 24 months.

Nice to have

• Graduation from an automotive trade school with diesel engine experience.
