TL;DR
Senior Azure Cloud & Platform Engineer (Azure): Owning and improving the Azure platform for alternative asset management products with an accent on secure architecture, identity and access management, disaster recovery, and monitoring. Focus on validating deployed infrastructure, troubleshooting distributed production systems, improving Terraform and CI/CD workflows, and challenging external engineering partners on technical risks and operational gaps.

What you will do
- Own and oversee the Azure environment, including subscriptions, landing zones, networking, connectivity, and platform dependencies.
- Validate infrastructure against documented architecture and security requirements, identifying gaps between design, deployment, and operational practice.
- Review Entra ID, Azure RBAC, PIM, privileged access, service identities, supplier access, and joiner, mover, and leaver processes.
- Assess disaster recovery, backups, RTOs, RPOs, runbooks, monitoring coverage, alerts, dashboards, and escalation processes.
- Read and improve Terraform configurations, support CI/CD pipelines, and create scripts or automation tools.
- Investigate production issues across infrastructure, APIs, applications, and integrations while working with external technical partners and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and business-critical production environments.
- Experience across cloud architecture, platform engineering, operations, Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of Entra ID, Azure RBAC, PIM, monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident investigation.
- Understanding of disaster recovery, backups, RTOs, RPOs, and recovery testing.
- Experience with API-driven services, distributed platforms, scripting, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong technical documentation, runbook-development, communication, independent ownership, and partner-management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience across Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps permissions and platform access controls.
- Experience with cloud-platform assessments, technical discovery, security audits, or Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Experience reviewing disaster-recovery strategies and monitoring frameworks.
- Experience working with multiple external technology suppliers.
