Senior Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Remote for full-time employees in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Sweden and Israel; contractor opportunities are available in Eastern Europe and Portugal.

What you will do

• Develop and evolve foundational platform software, services, internal tools and APIs.
• Architect and implement reusable, tested Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Deploy, manage and optimize highly available Kubernetes clusters on GKE and EKS, including networking, service meshes, upgrades and resource utilization.
• Build and improve CI/CD delivery systems using tools such as Argo CD and Atlantis.
• Diagnose performance, scalability and security issues using logs, metrics and incident response practices.
• Partner with feature teams to translate infrastructure and developer-experience needs into platform capabilities and automation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Strong coding skills in Go, TypeScript or another relevant language, including data structures, algorithms and defensive programming.
• Experience with CI/CD systems, networking, cloud security, monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and ELK.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote and distributed environment.
