Director of Construction

What you will do

• Lead teams of 2 to 20 people, including Project Executives, Project Managers, and project teams.
• Set performance expectations, provide feedback, delegate work, recognize contributions, and manage staff development.
• Build relationships with potential clients and manage customer relationships to achieve high satisfaction.
• Present to prospective customers and negotiate business and legal provisions of construction contracts.
• Promote quality, design excellence, profitability, innovation, and consistent execution across projects.
• Coordinate development, capital markets, design and engineering, preconstruction, building services, property management, and regional priorities.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of successful industry experience, including at least 5 years managing accounts from $10 million to $250 million or more.
• Bachelor’s degree in an industry-related field.
• Proven ability to manage teams successfully and profitably, lead people, develop talent, and hold staff accountable.
• Strong understanding of the local construction market and experience negotiating construction contracts.
• Ability to prioritize strategic and immediate responsibilities, resolve issues, and achieve win-win outcomes.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and complete employment verification.
