General Manager (Fitness)

What you will do

• Take ownership of the club’s overall performance and day-to-day operations.
• Recruit, develop, retain and coach colleagues across all areas of the club.
• Drive membership growth, retention, secondary spend, profitability and revenue performance.
• Deliver welcoming member experiences and maintain high standards across the club.
• Oversee operational processes, presentation, cleanliness, safety, cost control and company initiatives.
• Manage health and safety, regulatory compliance and pool plant operations where applicable.

Requirements

• At least one year of management experience in fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail.
• Proven experience leading and developing successful teams.
• Commercial awareness and a track record of achieving business targets.
• Strong communication, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays when required.

Nice to have

• Experience in a fitness or leisure environment.
• Level 2 Fitness Qualification.
• Knowledge of membership sales, retention and club operations.
• Pool plant and health and safety experience.
