Assistant Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, USA; travel up to 10% may be required.

Salary: $74,900–$97,400 per year

What you will do

• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs for bakery equipment and production processes.
• Plan, organize, and direct mechanics’ work through the plant maintenance program.
• Provide technical support for controls, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and fuel-burning systems.
• Manage maintenance software, equipment, supplies, KPIs, and remedial actions for a primarily automated manufacturing line.
• Oversee mid-size capital projects and support the Maintenance Department Leader when needed.
• Inspect completed work and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, safety, quality, sanitation, and company requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
• Experience with electrical circuitry, bread and roll production equipment repair, refrigeration, and fuel-burning equipment.
• Strong communication, leadership, team-building, and team development skills.
• Computer literacy and the ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, instructions, gauges, and meters.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including prolonged standing, climbing, lifting, kneeling, bending, and using ladders and stairs.

Nice to have

• Technical or bachelor's degree in a related field.
• AIB Maintenance Correspondence Course.
• Strong PLC knowledge.
